Top Eleven Jet-Set Honeymoons That Won’t Break The Bank!

By Kim · March 20, 2009 · Filed in Top Eleven Lists · 2 Comments »

I’m convinced that most honeymooners choose an all-inclusive getaway to celebrate their marital bliss because they just don’t know what else is out there or they think a non-all-inclusive will be super-expensive. All-inclusive getaways like Sandals and Club Med are nice, but let’s be honest, they’re very cheesy, often boring after a day or two and also can be very expensive.

Just for a comparison I searched multiple all-inclusive packages with airfare and found that the total vacation package for two people in a basic room was between $4,500 – $7,850! I couldn’t believe it! Instead of blowing your cash on mediocre all-you-can-eat buffets or watered down cocktails, check out my picks and my tips for planning a fabulous international honeymoon, one you will truly enjoy and for the same price!

Top Eleven Movies That’ll Get You in the Mood (to Travel)!

By Kim · October 28, 2008 · Filed in Top Eleven Lists · 4 Comments »

Sometimes you just want a good movie to get you in the mood to travel. You can watch them before you go for inspiration or on the plane for excitement. Either way, here are my favorites:

1. Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Best Woody Allen movie ever! Two American woman plan to spend the summer in Spain together before one of them is to be married. Both fall for the same man, who already happens to have a crazy ex-wife. Beautifully acted, amazing scenes and undeniable passion. You’ll be able to sit for hours after this film and discuss the European mindset and it’s cultural differences with America.

2. Blame It On Rio

picture 21 Top Eleven Movies Thatll Get You in the Mood (to Travel)!

Blame It On Rio

A romantic comedy about to men who vacation with their daughters in Rio de Janeiro. One of the men reluctantly falls in love with his best friends daughter. Silly, and with sort of disturbing plot, this movie won’t win any Oscars but is definitely great for a mindless movie with great views of Rio!

3. It Started in Naples

picture 31 300x171 Top Eleven Movies Thatll Get You in the Mood (to Travel)!

It Started in Naples

A lawyer, Mike (Clark Gable) is given the task of settling his late brother’s estate in Italy. In the process he finds out that his brother had a son that is being cared for by nightclub dancer, Lucia (Sofia Loren). As Mike struggles with doing what is best for the child, he’s forced to look into himself for his own faults. Wonderful!

4. Under the Tuscan Sun

picture 41 300x195 Top Eleven Movies Thatll Get You in the Mood (to Travel)!

Under the Tuscan Sun

(Just in case you haven’t seen it) Fresh from a divorce, Frances finds herself engulfed in a sometimes comedic, Tuscan villa restoration project. Searching for love and independence, she finds herself in the process. The scenes from the Amalfi Coast are spectacular!

5. The Talented Mr. Ripley

picture 51 300x196 Top Eleven Movies Thatll Get You in the Mood (to Travel)!

The Talented Mr Ripley

Tom Ripley (Matt Damon) assumes the identity of a wealthy Princeton graduate and accepts an offer to travel to Europe to convince (real Princeton grad) Dickie Greenleaf to return home form Europe. Tom does anything and everything to protect his true identity and the lifestyle that he became accustomed to on his voyage to Europe.

6. Shirley Valentine

Shirley Valentine

Shirley Valentine

Shirley, a housewife finds herself unhappy with how her life has turned out. She dreams about the life she used to have. Luck hits when her best friend wins a trip for two to Greece. She joins her to explore the Greek Islands and inevitably herself. The restaurant used in the scene from a Mykonos taverna is still there and delicious!

7. Casablanca

Casablanca

Casablanca

This Oscar Award winning, 1942 film is a true classic. It is set in World War II Morocco. Sadly, the whole movie was filmed in California! Casablanca offers one of the most memorable exit lines in movie history, “Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”

8. A Little Romance

A Little Romance

A Little Romance

An wealthy American girl (a very young Diane Lane) meets a poor French boy while attending school in Paris. They’re “star crossed lovers” of a sort. They decide to solidify their love by journeying together to Venice.

9. Summer Lovers

Summer Lovers

Summer Lovers

A flirtatious, scandalous and somewhat cheesy look at life in the 1980’s on the Greek Islands. A young Daryl Hannah and Peter Gallagher flirt with the idea of a “non-traditional” relationship during their summer vacation in Santorini. The scenery of the Greek Islands is breathtakingly beautiful and provides a perfect backdrop.

10. Borne Supremacy

Borne Supremacy

Borne Supremacy

This Matt Damon super action packed spy thriller takes you are the globe. The movie moves quickly but gives you many of the world’s flavors. The movie was filmed in Berlin, Naples, Munich, Amsterdam, Goa India and the ending is filmed in Manhattan USA.

11. Il Postino

Il Postino

Il Postino

Il Postino is an Italian film that was filmed partly on the island of Salina, in the Aeolian Islands near Sicily. This is the love story of a postman that gets the help of the famous Chilean poet Pablo Neruda to help woo his lady interest.

Top Eleven Jet Setter Must-Reads

By Kim · October 19, 2008 · Filed in Culture, Top Eleven Lists · No Comments »

Reading can be a great escape, expand your knowledge or life altering. The right book can inspire your imagination to be come your reality or help you solve a nagging problem in your life. Jet Setters have lots of time to read while in flight, on a train and especially lounging on the beach or by the pool. So, here are my favorite eleven jet setter must-read books to pack in your Tumi carry-on. There is a nice mix of travel, enjoyment and personal growth. These are in no particular order (except maybe putting Bill Mahr after the Playboy bunny, that seemed appropriate).

The Reluctant Tuscan: How I Discovered My Inner Italian Top Eleven Jet Setter Must Reads

by Phil Doran

The Reluctant Tuscan
The Reluctant Tuscan

Culturally Entertaining

This is a very well written book about the experiences of a couple from L.A. that transplant themselves into the Italian culture. Similar to “Under the Tuscan Sun”, this is based on the real life of an expat in Italy. You’ll be laughing (probably out loud) as one thing leads to another and they find themselves renovating a 300 year old farmhouse in the middle of Tuscany. If you’ve ever experienced the red-tape and quirky cultural norms of the Italians, then you will especially appreciate this book. Having been married in Italy, I can tell you that it is all true! Sometimes, you just have to laugh when bad gets worse.

Top Eleven Restaurants I Love in the World

By Kim · August 9, 2008 · Filed in Top Eleven Lists · 1 Comment »

Who doesn’t love food. Even the Skinny Bitch loves food. Let me just say, I’m not a foodie, nor do I want to be. But I do enjoy learning about a culture through my belly. To me, food is not just for nourishment, it’s about culture, experiences, friends, family…you get the picture. So here it is, the Top Eleven Restaurants I Love in the World.

1. La Giostra in Florence, Italy

This Italian restaurant is the only restaurant the I constantly crave. To me, this is the best restaurant in the world. I spent a week in Florence and I think I ate her half of that week, including New Year’s Eve. You may be saying, “why would you go to the same restaurant over and over?”. Go once, then ask me that question. This father and son prince team are as eccentric as the food is amazing. The son (who invented Criss Angel’s look many years before Criss Angel) spent five minutes doing this decanting ritual with our wine only to taste it first himself and decided it was not good and got another bottle.

La Giostra in Florence

2. Marismo in Jose Ignacio, Uruguay

Follow the dirt road with no lights for 2km, turn left into the woods (don’t look for a sign, there isn’t one), then look for a guy with a flashlight waving you as to where to park. This sounds more like an off road adventure than directions to the best restaurant in Jose Ignacio. But as you enter this sand floor, tree house-ish, candle and bonfire lite restaurant, you’ll know you’ve arrived at the most “in the know” spot in Punta del Este. The food is unbelievably amazing, however you can’t pinpoint it to any one cuisine. Sorry Amex, it’s cash only.

Marismo, Jose Ignacio

3. Los Bandidos in Puerto Banús, Spain

Who thought I’d fall in love with a little port side French & Swedish restaurant? Not me! However, after one night in this laid back yet very hip open air eatery I was singing another tune. Not only is the food amazing, but because it’s adjacent to Louis Vuitton, the people watching was second to none! Reservations are a must.

Los Bandidos in Puerto Banus

4. Ambrosia in Santorini, Greece

Santorini is one of the most picturesque places in the world and the owners of Ambrosia were smart to capitalize on it. With just a few tables on their famed top deck, it’s the perfect place for a romantic dinner with the one you love. The menu is limited but the food is delicious. Watching the moon rise over the caldera is an experience you’ll never forget.

Ambrosia in Santorini

5. Kiki’s in Mykonos, Greece

This is as simple as it gets. Located on Agios Sostis beach. There’s no sign, and it’s not so easy to find. But if you’re one of the lucky few that do, you’ll soon see why this is the hidden gem of Mykonos. No electricity, no frills, just a dozen fresh salads, bread & olive oil, house wine and grilled favorites like octopus, eggplant and the catch of the day. With less than 10 tables, there isn’t a bad seat in the house.

Kikis Restaurant Mykonos

6. Casa Tua in South Beach Miami, USA

Easily the most consistently amazing restaurant stateside. With high perfectly manicured bushes surrounding it and without a sign, it’s easy to miss. However this family owned Mediterranean hideaway serves up a chic, romantic experience with authentic Italian cuisine. My favorite part is the menu. Each page has a large candid photo of the owner’s beautiful family engaging in day to day life. Reservations are a must.

CasaTua

7. Aqua at the One & Only Palmilla in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico

This will be controversial, however the more casual dining experience at the One & Only Palmilla is far superior (in my opinion) to their high end C by Charlie Trotter restaurant. And I don’t think I’m the only one that thinks so. I just love this candle lite, outdoor, set on the ocean, Mexican flavored restaurant and adjacent bar. On my last dinner there, we heard this very familiar and infectious laugh coming form the table behind us…it was Will Smith! If he chose Aqua over C, then I must be onto something here!

Aqua at One & Only Pamilla

8. Nammos in Mykonos, Greece

Located on jet set Psarou beach, this is one of the see and be seen spots in Mykonos. You may approach it around 3pm on any given day and see 90% of the tables empty. However, if you try to get seated, you’ll quickly be denied and told that they are full with reservations. You won’t believe it, but just wait an hour and you’ll see the wealthy Athenians rise from their beach chairs and fill every table in this place. And yes, everything you order will be delicious. Go for lunch as there’s a better view and people watching.

Nammos in Mykonos

9. Chez Black in Positano, Italy

Celebrities come here, movies have been filmed here and locals love it. Located directly on the beach of Positano, Chez Black is somewhat of an institution on the Amalfi Coast. With fresh ingredients, mostly that came out of the ocean or off the vines earlier in the day, any meal you choose is sure to be perfect. Great for large parties of friends or even a romantic dinner for two.

Chez Black Positano Italy

10. La Huella in Jose Ignacio, Uruguay

This is the place to see and be seen for lunch in Jose Ignacio, but unless you have a reservation, you’ll be standing in line for a very long time. This favorite noshing spot of the Buenos Aires elite serves up a little bit of everything, brick oven pizza, sushi, leg of lamb and gazpacho. You would think with such a variety of food items on the menu, that nothing would be good, but you’d be wrong. Everything is amazing! This is easily the best place for a long, lazy lunch. The line that forms at the from of this open air restaurant will blow you away. They actually have to block the doorway so they people waiting don’t overflow into the restaurant!

La Huella, Jose Ignacio

11. Villa Rosa in Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech is filled with tons of “traditional Moroccan” restaurants. But, after you eat your 100th tagine, you may want to try something a little different, a little more refined, a little sexy and if you do, this is it! This high end French restaurant has the ambiance of Paris, the patrons that look as if they stepped off the runway and a menu that can compete with the best in the world. This is the new Marrakech!

The Top Eleven Beautiful Beaches of Mykonos

By Kim · July 19, 2008 · Filed in Beach Travel, Top Eleven Lists · 1 Comment »

Kalo Livadi Beach Mykonos from Jet Set Life on Vimeo.

Mykonos has so many beaches, all with completely different personalities. There are beaches for gays, families, locals, the jet set, crazy parties, campers or total seclusion.

The biggest mistake people visiting Mykonos make is not renting a scooter. Without a scooter you are left to the mercy of the Taxi’s (there’s only 31 so getting one can be quite difficult) or worse, you are stuck just walking around Mykonos Town every day.

Here are the beaches that I want you to know about:

1. Psarou: The Jet Setters beach. You’ll be lucky if you can get a beach chair. Many Athenians will book the chairs for a month and well in advance. But slip Yannis a 20 euro and you’ll probably end up with a spot somewhere. A beautiful and popular restaurant, Nammos, is on this beach. If you want to see and be seen this beach and Nammos are the place to do it.

2. Paranga: Very popular beach with everyone including couples, families, singles, locals and extremely beautiful water. A great restaurant on this beach is Tasos. Great traditional Greek classics, especially the delicious and tender octopus.

3. Super Paradise: This beach has a crazy and well deserved party reputation because of the late afternoon beach club parties . However, if you’re young and sexy then during the day this is the perfect place to park your beach bag and enjoy the Mykonos sun before the party kicks off around 5pm.

4. Kalo Livadi: This larger beach is a great destination for the whole family as well as well tanned and toned bodies. Beach chairs are easily available, Tai massage is offered under your umbrella and the Greek Isle cruising yachts stop by to enjoy the food of Sol Y Mar restaurant.

5. Fokos: This is an extremely secluded beach only found by driving down a very bumpy and winding dirt road. Most tourists will never see this beach, but those that do will love it. No beach clubs, no tourists, no umbrellas, just you, the sand, the surf and the sun. Fokos Taverna serves up cold salads, daily Greek pies and grilled meats and seafood to those who are a little more adventurous and are willing to venture out.

6. Aghios Sostis: Lovely small local beach water of the bluest blues and striking teals that are amazing to loose yourself in. No umbrellas, loungers available. A real In The Know restaurant called Kiki’s is on this beach. The restaurant has no sign, no electricity and serves grilled meats, fish and fresh salads.

7. Ag. Ioannis: Great local beach with a popular sunset taverna which is the place that the movie Shirley Valentine was filmed. You can literally watch the fisherman carry the fish from the sea into the restaurant. This is a spectacular place to watch the sunset.

8. Elia: Mostly a gay beach and nudist beach. Quieter beach, with a great landscape, clearer water and more upscale environment.

9. Paradise: This beach lived up to it’s name in the past, however in recent years this beach has gone to the hippies and basically become a camp ground.

10. Panormos: More locals than tourists will hit this beach, but it’s very beautiful. There are only umbrellas for rent, no beach chairs. However, there is a lively beach club next to the main taverna called by the same name as the beach, Panormos Taverna. You can order food and drink from the taverna to have on the beach.

11. Ag. Stefanos: Set away from the crowds of Mykonos Town and the port. Few venture to this area on the island from town. Beach chairs and lounges can be found, along with local tavernas. This beach is more for families and people looking to just relax.

There you go, a break down of the beaches of Mykonos.

Top Eleven MUSTS for Your New Year’s Eve Trip to Punta del Este!

By Kim · June 19, 2008 · Filed in Top Eleven Lists · 2 Comments »

Punta Del Este, Uruguay. You may be asking, Uruguay…exactly where is that? Basically it is the white creamy center between the Oreo cookies of Argentina and Brazil! Now that you know where it is, you may be asking, why would I want to go there? I’ll tell you why. Punta del Este is the jewel of South America. It’s to South America what St. Tropez is to Europe. It’s glamorous, glitzy and yet somehow reminds me of Southern California! You only have a short season, really just the New Year’s Eve period to enjoy this sexy hot-spot.

Book your airafre early and brush up on your Spanish, because these are the Top Eleven things you won’t want to miss!

1. 4am at Medialunas Calentitas

Medialunas Calentitas

Sweet and buttery croissants, served hot to the masses. Maybe you’re stopping by after a long day at Jose Ignacio Beach, or maybe it’s a late night snack at the see and be seen location in La Barra. Either way, they’re delicious and addicting.

2. Afternoon Parties on Bikini Beach

Bikini Beach, Punta del Este Kim at the entrance of Bikini Beach

Bring your towel or rent a sun bed for around $250 USD. Buy drinks by the glass or by the pitcher! The DJ picks up around four o’clock and that’s when the party gets started. With such a late sunset, you could easily be partying on the beach until nine o’clock

3. Enjoy a long lunch at La Heulla

La Huella

YOU NEED A RESERVATION! This open air restaurant is the hottest lunch spot in the Punta del Este area. It’s located on Jose Ignacio beach. This place will have a huge line starting around two o’clock. The food is fantastic, sushi, gazpacho, pizza, grilled meats and fresh fish. The best part about this place is the people watching!

4. Join the hot bodies on Jose Ignacio Beach

Jose Ignacio beach Hot bodies of Jose Ignacio Beach

I don’t suggest eating the La Huella pizza or the Medialunas Calentitas before heading to this beach. The bodies here are hard and tan. This is an ultra chill beach. Again, you can either rent a sun bed or bring your towel. This is the beach playground of the Punta del Este jet set.

5. Eat dinner at Marismo at 11pm

Marismo, Punta del Este Kim at marismo

Imagine driving in Uruguay down a tiny dirt road with no street lights, no signs, then all of a sudden you come upon a man with a flashlight waving you to a parking spot on the side of the road. The restaurant itself looks like a tree house wonderland. A bonfire, sand floor, narrow wooden steps, superb food and cash only. (Phone 598 48 62273)

6. Have a little ice cream at Freddo

Freddo

Argentina’s frozen export has made it’s way to the shores of Uruguay. Tons of flavors and modern decor make this ice cream shop top in Punta del Este.

7. Try getting into Tequila

Honestly, trying to get passed the bouncers is more fun than being inside this VIP haven. It’s like a South American version of the original Studio 54. The club is small and rather empty until at least 3am. Once you get inside, you realize that it’s like any other night club.

8. Score some global beats from Diablito

from the outside of this La Barra shop you may think it’s a surfer clothing store, but go inside and you’ll see a great collection of music from around the world. My favs include the Bossa series. Like Bossa n’ Roses, Bossa n’ Marley, Bossa n’ Stones.

9. Get a new trendy new outfit at Kosiuko

Kosiuk Clothing Store

La Barra has great little clothing shops. This one is one of my favorites for men and women. You can find great trendy belts, shorts, purses for men and women. Do worry, these fashions will work Stateside.

10. Have Clerico and a sandwich at Flo Café.

Cafe Flo in Punta del Este Clerico in Cafe Flo

Clerico is Sangria’s sexier summer sister! Mix a little crisp summer white wine with different fruits like grapes, bananas, apples, strawberries and a little sugar and bam, you’ve got Clerico. Yummy!

11. Join Gisele at Posada del Faro

Posada Del Faro

Punta del Este has a peculiar problem, hotels. Punta is all about location. There’s many areas to Punta del este: Punta city center (peninsula), La Barra and Jose Ignacio. You want to be in La Barra and Jose Ignacio. Here’s little map that I made:

The “hippest” hotel is the Serena Hotel, however it’s in the single worst location. It’s on the opposite side of where you want to be. It’ll take you at least 20-30 minutes to get to La Barra and about 50-60 minutes to get to Jose Ignacio. La Bluette in La Barra is a great little B&B, but it’s not a chic place. It’s like going into (the owner) Hugo’s home.

Don’t get stuck at those “fancy” casino hotels. They’re huge and not worth it.

The Posada del Faro is a sexy boutique hotel in a great location. The celebs like Gisele and Naomi stay here. The only downside is that you’re driving about 20-30 minutes to get to La Barra for the nightlife.

Want to see what Punta del Este is all about? Here’s a video.

There it is. It’s over.

I love comments….

See ya soon,

Kimberly

Rumor: The Setai is rumored to be opening a Punta del Este location near Jose Ignacio. We saw some Setai signs but no sign of construction just yet!

The Top Eleven Hotel Pools East of Asia

By Kim · June 7, 2008 · Filed in Top Eleven Lists · 3 Comments »

Mondrian Scottsdale

The Mondrian Scottsdale. Pool is great, but it’s not ready for the Top 11 just yet. Maybe next year….

I love to get away, sip champagne, eat frozen grapes, listen to vibey music and just relax by a beautifully design pool. When I’m looking to get away and soak in the sun, I want a great pool with a sexy vibe or a great scene. Sometimes I want it quiet with a spectacular view. And other times, I want to watch the Glitterati prance as if they were the top model in the Diane Von Furstenberg spring line fashion show.

Here are my Top Eleven Hotel Pool picks (east of Asia, basically because I haven’t been there yet!)

(Yes, Eleven, not Ten & no, they are not in any particular order!)

1. The Fasano Hotel, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Fasano pool Rio de Janeiro

Let me just say that I haven’t yet been here, but on December 25, 2008 I’ll gladly dip myself into this spectacular pool. With the Fasano in Rio being one of the world’s new top hotels, it’s no surprise that the pool here is hotter than ever. From the rumor mill, this is the type of pool where you will say “Can her bathing suit actually get wet or is it just for show?” And the answer is, it’s always for show baby, always for show!

2. The Delano Hotel, South Beach, Miami, USA

The Delano pool Miami

Ian Schrager’s first “urban resort” goes in and out of popularity. But I am no fair-weather fan! To me, there is no better place to enjoy the incredibly hot Florida sunshine, usually next to celebs like Jamie Fox, Lindsey Lohan or even Spike Lee. My favorite sighting at this lovely pool was the man himself, Mr. Schrager. I like to imagine that he was working diligently on a new concept hotel, but he was probably doing the NY Times Crossword puzzle! I love the frozen grapes, perfect Mojitos and the foot rubs in the afternoon. If pools could talk this one would make millions in a tell all book!

3. Benkiraï Saint-Tropez, France

Benkirai Pool Saint tropez

Another one that I haven’t personally seen, but is on my Summer 2009 travel schedule! I’ve stayed at the Byblos and yes, there is always a scene, but I’m hoping this new ray of French Riviera sunshine will shine on this super-hyped up Saint-Tropez hot spot! I need something fresh and new in this French jet set destination!

4. Capofaro Resort, Salina, Aeolian Islands, Italy

The Capofaro Pool

This up and comer is planning to knock the Hotel Raya off it’s perch in the Aeolians! This stunning hotel pool offers bronzed bodies and cocktails by day and spectacular views of the island of Stromboli at night. If you want to be ahead of the curve, book your next Aeolian get away here.

5. Gansevoort South, South Beach, Miami, USA

gansevoort south Miami

With the new location of the David Barton Gym in the Gansevoort South, you can be sure South Beaches hardest bodies will be strutting their stuff around the new South beach hot-spot!

6. Hotel Caruso, Ravello, Italy

Hotel CarusoPool Pool at hotel Caruso

This one may be near and dear to my heart (I had my wedding rehearsal dinner overlooking this pool) but I’m definitely not being biased! This infinity pool has one of the most insane views I’ve ever seen! Pictures are all you need, but they still can’t ever do it justice!

7. Villa des Orangers, Marrakech, Morocco

Villa des Oranger pool Villa Pool

The chaotic streets of Marrakech can really get to you, so when they do, slip inside the Villa des Orangier and head to the pool in the back. I don’t know how, but somehow the noise and smells of the city aren’t allowed to follow you! This pool is beautiful, serene and at night magical. Sip some mint tea and relax.

8. Faena Hotel & Universe, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Faena Pool

At the Faena, they call everything an experience. The pool is no exception. Seeing as Buenos Aires is arguably the leading city for plastic surgery in the world, which I am obviously not against, the bodies around this pool will be phenomenal. Dressing for a day at the pool in South America is an event. BTW, don’t be surprised if you see Mick Jagger strutting down the hallway.

9. Capri Palace, The Island of Capri, Italy

Capri Palace Pool Underwater capri Palace Pool Sunset at the Capri Palace

The home of my honeymoon and one of the sexiest pools in the Mediterranean. Italian chic, Rosé filled glasses and seemingly a magazine is always doing a photo shoot somewhere around this pool. At night you’ll see one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen (see my picture above). Beware: no funny business under the water, unless of course you don’t mind an audience. There is a sneak window at the entrance of the hotel that shows the pool from below, kinda like you’re the dolphin in the aquarium.

10. The Belvedere Hotel, Mykonos, Greece

belvedere hotel mykonos Belvedere Pool

In exactly thirty days I will descend onto Mykonos’s famed Belvedere Hotel. I’ve been stalking this pool for a very long time. This is the home of white on white decor overlooking a deep gorgeous blue sea. All I can say is I hope I’ve done enough of the P90X to be able to compare to the hard bodied guests lounging around this pool! Yikes!

11. One & Only Pamilla, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico

One & Only Pamilla Pool

Travel & Leisure says this is the #1 hotel for celebrity spotting. They may be right, I did see Will Smith here last year. But I don’t care about that. Do you want to know what I care about? It’s The Sunglass Concierge that comes around the pool with a sunglass cleaning kit disguised as a picnic basket and offers to clean your shades. I’ve never in my life had cleaner sunglasses or that level of service anywhere

Well, that’s it. The pools that I love and that I hope to love very soon!
