Planning New Year’s Eve 2011

2377 Planning New Years Eve 2011

Yep, it’s only October, yet my New Year’s Eve trip is booked and paid for! Many of you may think that Rob and I are crazy for booking our trips so far in advance. But if you only knew how much goes into planning each and every trip! We take this seriously! After all, it has become our business!

For us, our annual New Year’s Eve trip is one of our favorites. Every year we stalk a sexy spot to reminisce about the past 364 days and to dream about the next 364 days. We’ve done one of the world’s craziest parties in Rio de Janeiro, chic South American hot spot Punta del Este and European glam locales like Florence and Paris. Honestly, we like to be ahead of the game. We’re always looking for ways to push the envelope, do something different and experience something completely new. So this year, we’re heading to Cartagena, Columbia. To most, when we say Cartagena, they think drug czars, kidnappings and Pablo Escobar. But we’re thinking more a long the lines of belly-dancing Shakira and uber sexy singer Juanes.

Believe it or not, Cartagena is becoming a pretty popular international jet setting destination. With gorgeous leading hotels, sandy beaches, warm weather, delicious food and stunningly beautiful people- how could we possibly resist?

So, here’s a few pics to get you in the mood for our next, Jet Set Life hot spot! Stay tuned…..

P.S.

Because we field emails and Facebook messages all day long about finding the best New Year’s Eve spots, we decided to make a website dedicated to our favorite New Year’s friendly destinations. To find your own Jet Set hot spot for New Year’s 2011, click here.

To be honest I think October is a great time to start planning for new years celebrations, in fact, the earlier the better! I have often been caught out trying to book to late just to find out everything is fully booked

Sorry, but you made a misspelling. It’s Colombia not Columbia. anyway, Cartagena is incredible, but once you are going to travel so far, you must enjoy other cities in Colombia like San Andres Island, Tyrona Park, and Medellin. Good luck!

I will be in Cartagena as well to bring in 2011 and celebrate my birthday!
First time ever I’m leaving the country to bring in the new year, though this may become a new tradition. Please forward along the best places to be for NYE in Cartagena so I won’t miss out on anything!

Great photos and what a great destination to choose! Colombia is definitely not what it is stereotyped to be. It is such an amazing country with so much to offer.

I see you will be staying at the Santa Clara. We used to stay there every new years but we love it so much that we now have a place there. We will be in Cartagena as well to ring in the new year! Any suggestions of cool places I may not be aware of? Which party will you be going to for new years eve?
