Marrakech is becoming one of the hottest jet-set destinations worldwide. Sure you’ve gotta see the Medina and sip mint tea, but there is a underground “hip” world in Marrakech, just waiting to be discovered.

Best time to go to Marrakech is April –June. You want to avoid the extreme heat of the Marrakech summer, but you also want to avoid the rainy winter months. However Marrakech has had some crazy weather year round so it may get as high as one hundred degrees in February!
Keep in mind you are in the desert. Nighttime always get chilly, even in the summer.
Airfare is also cheaper, around $500-$600 from JFK to RAK during April and May.

Marrakech’s Ménara International Airport just went under a huge renovation. It’s going to be one of the most modern airports in the world. Our suggestion is to fly direct to to Marrakech from New York on Royal Air Maroc. This will save you a connection in either Paris or Casablanca (where loosing luggage is often a problem!).
