MYKONOS

Mykonos - Cyclades, Greece

One of Europe’s favorite places for the sun. Whether soaking it in, watching it set or even watching it rise, Mykonos is the place to be in the Mediterranean during the famous summer months.

Let’s face it, Mykonos has a reputation for being a party island. With drink till you can’t walk hot spots like Super Paradise and sunrise parties at Cavo Paradiso, this reputation is definitely well deserved. There is plenty of clubs and lounges to go around, some of our favorites like Caprice Bar and Semeli: The Bar, are located in Little Venice and offer awesome seaside views with cool cocktails.

However, there is also another side to this very Greek Island. It’s a side that you can’t see by just stepping off a cruise ship, or by sailing the Greek Islands by yacht. It’s a side that you can only see by spending your day on a scooter exploring the nooks and crannies of this island. It’s finding that, what is likely to be your favorite restaurant on the island- Kiki’s, actually has no electricity, just a wood burning oven, fresh salads and straight out of the ocean fish.

It’s spending your days contemplating if (gay, but straight friendly) Elysium Hotel or your favorite sea front table in Little Venice, is your favorite place to watch the sun dip into the Aegean Sea.

It’s wondering if the couple you saw at the posh Belvedere Hotel, noshing on the best Greek salad on the island really is Brad & Angelina or just a chic look-a-like.

It’s exploring Mykonos Town for unique gifts and tiny cafes after the days tourists have retreated back their ferries and cruise ships.

Your days will be spent contemplating if you enjoy the chic crowd at Psarou beach over the more laid back group at Panormos beach. But knowing that there is a beach that fits your lifestyle, whatever that lifestyle is. And whether you’d rather lunch in town or on the beach gazing at the sea.

Mykonos is filled with so many possibilities. the only mistake you can make is being afraid to explore the island.

The sun, the beaches, the parties, the people and the food. Mykonos is simply a paradise in the Greek Islands.
