It was once said that age is wasted on the young. While I wouldn’t trade-in any of those painful lessons I’ve learned in my life, because I’ve benefited too much from them; however, I still wish I could save others from the lessons that life invariably teaches. Here’s my attempt at reaching out to the 30 year old guy. I realize that it’s likely to fall on deaf ears (as it probably would have with me at that age).

If You Want To Be A Jet Set Insider Now Is The Time? Plus, Headed to Party on the Aeolian Islands
by Rob on 12. Jul, 2010 in Filling The Void, Lifestyle, Random, Rock Star Travel
I realized recently that it’s really my rolodex of contacts that gets me dialed-in when I travel. If I know someone cool that knows a location well, it’s likely they’ll hook me up with under the radar stuff — that I would NEVER find on the internet. It really IS about WHO you know.

by Rob on 03. May, 2010 in Rock Star Travel
Whenever I spin my Jet Set Globe, it always seems to stop at St. Tropez in the summer. It’s hard to help. It’s just such a cool spot. Here’s a snip of the St. Tropez video I’m working on for Jet Set Life.
What Inspired Me To Enter a Fitness Competition
by Rob on 26. Apr, 2010 in Jet Set Body
Clint Eastwood taught me that when your life is comfortable, it’s time to shake it up again. Last year I was feeling like I wanted to s-t-r-e-t-c-h and do something that was way beyond what I had ever done before. So, inspired by a friend that’s an Ironman athlete, I decided to run a marathon (all 26.2 miles of it). There’s no doubt that it kicked my ass and challenged my physical endurance. But, honestly, it didn’t challenge me to step outside of my mental comfort zone (I thought it would have).
Shooting Machine Guns in Vegas
by Rob on 22. Feb, 2010 in Filling The Void, Rock Star Travel
Kim and I recently took a trip to Vegas for her Bikini America competition and we decided to see what other trouble we could get in to while we were there. We called upon the services of Kaori of Angelika boutique concierge. Kaori is THE go to person in Las Vegas. I asked her if she would give us a recommendation of something that what would be cool and different to do while we were in Las Vegas. She suggested that we try shooting machine guns. You know that head tilt a dog does when they hear a high pitched sound? That’s kind of how I reacted when she said machine gun.

Bravo Lifestyle Concierge: A List of The Absolute Coolest Things To Do in Florence
by Rob on 25. Jan, 2010 in Filling The Void, Pre-Trip Lists, Rock Star Travel
I do most of the pre-trip recon before Kim and I take a trip. I vet the hotels, restaurants and night life like an obsessive mad scientist. The hard part for me has been to find cool and unique things to do during the day. One of the tools I’m starting to use more and more is the services of a boutique lifestyle concierge. They just have knowledge and access to things that you would have never thought to do.
