How committed are you to a Jet Set Body:(and an update on P90X progress)

I made a decision this year to get my body in what I’m now calling P90X shape. Most of the travels we do for Jet Set Life keep us in eternal summer. We’re always changing hemispheres to keep the sun shining. With that comes the inevitable international pool scene. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of being around the hard bodies at the Delano, Mondrian or Fasano pools you know the insecurity one may feel looking down at his belly fat.
So, I set three rules for myself (using Tim Ferriss’s 80/20 principal as my guide) to create the Jet Set body I was after. My assumption is that if I give 100% to the rules I created, then I would obtain my desired result.
Rule #1: Do P90X 6 days a week – no matter what
Rule #2: No cheat meals during week – even when no one’s looking
Rule #3: Eat anything I wanted on Sundays – give cheat day 100% (Chocolate pancakes- whatever i want)
I decided to experiment and test my assumptions. I made an agreement with myself to grade myself on a scale or 1-10 in effort/intensity. My goal is to aim for 7 or higher.
What amounted to a total of 6 hours a week of actions has resulted (in 30 days-my first measuring point) in a 2 inch loss in my chest, abs (measured at the belly button- the bad one), and legs. And, a pants size drop from a comfortable 33 to a 31 waist.
I’ve been taking a closer look at the people who have been able to create what I’m after. Ever see this guy with his shirt ON or NOT working out? Yeah, me neither. Or, how about this- I’m touring the Bill & Coo hotel in Mykonos for our latest guidebook and I notice this guy at the pool that’s in phenomenal shape. As I’m listening to the manager of the hotel go on about the problems that Croatia has (her native country) I see out of the corner of my eye Mr Body start doing push ups at the pool. I caught it on video below. I’m like dude! On vacation WTF! In that moment it became clear to me why that guy and Mr. Body have what they have. So, how committed are you to your Jet Set body.

Why bother to go to the most beautiful places in the world with bodies that are less than desirable (to say the least, ha ha)!!
