I can’t help but think that sometimes we make life way more complicated than it needs to be. I’m having lunch in Amoudi bay in Santorini and there’s this gentleman next to me with his lovely wife and a few friends singing songs and playing his guitar. I can’t exactly remember the last time I sang songs at lunch. Let me think…umm that would be- never!
Talk about the Power of Now. These people are in the moment! No iPhone, pagers or blackberry’s. Just family, friends and wine. Maybe life doesen’t have to be that hard. Whatchathink?

Just found your site recently. Love the blog & video. I agree on the simple living stuff. People from the US (like me) have lost the art of happy living.
I’m sitting in my apartment now in Buenos Aires and I can tell you the culture here is totally different. Argentines live in a very uncertain world, but they are happy people totally at ease with themselves. The quality of life is FAR higher here than in the US.
Rob, your profile says you live the “jet set” life for 12 weeks a year. What do you do for the other 40 weeks?

Wow this is great. I think living a life that simple without blackberry’s and what not is wonderful. Sitting with family & friends should be one of the greatest accomplishmnets someone should achieve for.
When I was in Colombia in ’95, (I know a long time) people still lived simple lives, especially in the mountain regions. I’m sure it has changed since then, however it’s different. My cousin moved from Colombia to Argentina and was desperately seeking an iPhone. And of course she Facebooked me and wanted to know if I had the hook up haha.
